FAQ

  • How do we get started?

Click here to check out my “Services” page for the step-by-step process. You will also find my rates listed there.

  • Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I cannot accept any form of insurance (including providing care for Medicaid/Medicare recipients). I can provide a “Superbill” for possible insurance reimbursement, depending on your coverage and plan. I am committed to offering affordable + equitable services. See my “Services” page for more details about my rates.

  • Do you see clients outside of Colorado?

Due to mental health law, I can only see clients who live in the State of Colorado. I will ask you to confirm your identity and residence as part of client on-boarding.

  • When are you available for virtual sessions?

    Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
    (9 AM-8 PM)

  • What are the benefits of teletherapy?

Teletherapy is a form of care that mitigates some risks of meeting in-person due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of my clients prefer teletherapy as it provides them flexibility to meet from their safe space (i.e. a comfy spot in their home or office) without other factors such as a commuting, traffic, parking, and/or finding childcare. I currently offer virtual sessions (only) through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

  • What is your theoretical approach?

My approach to therapy is unique to the individual and their social contexts. You are the expert of your story. I often take a directive approach (a facilitating role) as we collaborate together and cultivate spaces of safety, spaciousness, learning, and holistic healing. I often integrate psychoeducation, parts work, values work, embodiment practices, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) into our work.

I am also EMDR-trained and offer EMDR services. Additional informed consent required for these services. See the list of my current credentials, certificates, and training here.
